Bloomsburg University was back with their annual Sankofa Conference on February 18. It was their 28th year having this conference, and students from Downingtown Area School District attended. This event is a leadership enhancement opportunity for students to learn more about diversity, equity, and inclusion, whether it’s in their district, university, or in general.

This trip to Bloomsburg University includes a tour of the university, a conference meeting, and opportunities to have a meal and ask any questions that the students may have. The conversation regarding the conference was surrounding diversity in each individual student’s school and different colleges that attended the meeting.
