Looking for a new place to eat? Texas Roadhouse is open everyday, 4-10pm on weekdays and 12-10pm on weekends and is located at 1205 E Lancaster Ave in Downingtown.
Texas Roadhouse has many food options and discounts. On Tuesdays, coming for $1.99 is a kid’s meal with a free ice cream dessert. On the weekends, if you come in 12-3pm there is an early dine menu for items under $10. Of course, you can’t forget about the delicious rolls with cinnamon honey butter. There is also a steak fridge where you can pick your own steak, the options to pick are 6, 8, 11, 16 oz sirloins, 6 and 8 oz filets, 10, 12, 14, 16 oz ribeyes and 20 oz bone in ribeye. When you walk inside, you will be greeted by smiling faces ready to help you–including one of our yearbook editors, Rachel McAllister (’22).
Rachel, one of Texas Roadhouse’s employees of the month, took some time to talk to me about the restaurant. According to Rachel, one of the best reasons to work at TR is for the family environment; everyone is welcome and appreciated. I asked how many regulars there are and how often they come. She responded with, “There’s around seven regulars and their families and they are seen every week or every few days.”
Rachel shared that the most popular appetizer ordered is the blossom meal and the most popular meal is the New York strip steak. A few recommendations Rachel has are the boneless wings, snake bites, and the grilled shrimp dinner. She said her favorite meal to order is “the herb crusted chicken with homemade mashed potatoes and corn. For a beverage I usually get a blue raspberry sprite.” And for dessert she loves the warm brownie with homemade caramel sauce.
Go to Texas Roadhouse, grab some grub, and say hi to Rachel!
