While I may be a little biased, Estrella Tacos is a must-do within the Downingtown restaurant scene!

I highly recommend a visit if you’re looking for delicious tacos or Texas barbeque. Estrella Tacos is a “Tex-Mex” inspired restaurant located in Downingtown. You can easily spot the flying Texas flag, or the big red Estrella sign out front of its Lancaster Avenue location in the heart of the borough.  It is the perfect place for lunch with family or a night out with friends.

The menu has so many options to choose from. A few of my favorite tacos include the roasted cauliflower tacos or the spicy fried chicken tacos. If you aren’t feeling tacos, don’t worry; there are plenty of other things to choose from, like the smoked wings, any of the burgers, Pop’s Nachos, or any of the barbeque options. All the meats are smoked in-house, and the brisket is definitely a fan favorite!

Not only is the food good, but the environment while dining is also great. The servers are friendly and the decor of the restaurant is so fun; the space is bright and welcoming. Estrella used to be the borough’s firehouse before it became a restaurant. My favorite table is the small booth inside the restaurant where the fire hoses used to be kept. They painted the room a dark blue and there is a neon light that says “Boom Boom.” The “Boom Boom” room is often requested by guests. The patio outside is also nice and big. Guests are welcomed to play cornhole or draw with sidewalk chalk. I urge you to visit Estrella for great food and service if you haven’t before!
