What wonderful decorations! Student Council decorates areas of the school for A Day Without Hate.
March 26, 2021
The time is almost here! Day Without Hate is in the works at Downingtown West High School.
Day Without Hate is a day where community members spread positivity by decorating the school, wearing white to symbolize peace, and participating in activities designed to promote unity. All classes are encouraged to participate and to spread positivity, inclusivity, and togetherness among the student body. Ciara Schuster (’21), the treasurer of Student Council stated, “We are looking forward to having one of our events back that make up West.” Some of the day’s events will include challenges to complete between class periods and special music played to promote the message of the day.
The day is being planned for Friday, April 30, and Student Council is working to make the day a memorable one. Although there will be some changes to how the day usually proceeds, they are planning the day to include some beloved traditions while still honoring COVID regulations and safety.
Student Council is looking forward to the day, and is trying to spread the word to the student body. Hopefully A Day Without Hate will be a success!
