Why is Valentine’s Day So Important?

This holiday is a day to share with your special someone, and to show them how much you really care & appreciate them. Whether you have a significant other or not, it’s really important to show the ones around you how much you love them.

Here are some ideas to help your day go right, just in case you need it.

Start the day off right! Everyone loves to wake up to the smell of breakfast making its way to them from the kitchen. Wake up your special someone with their favorite breakfast items. Nothing says “I love you” like food made from the heart, or just food in general. Can’t cook? Or simply don’t want to? Go shop! Bring home some sweet treats like donuts, and top it off with some coffee!

Simple Gifts

Another thing to sprinkle the love is little gifts your partner will love. They don’t have to be expensive or big, but they can be. Something simple and sweet would be getting them their favorite candies! It will show them you remember the things that they love, hopefully making them love you more 🙂

Something else to add to the Valentine’s Day essence is flowers! There is just something about flowers that make people feel loved and happy. If you have the budget, buy something your significant other has been wanting for a little while. It will most definitely be a lovely surprise and will make them feel appreciated to be showered with gifts.

Ending the Night

If breakfast doesn’t do it for you, maybe dinner or lunch will suit you best.  A great idea is a very simple picnic lunch. It’s very inexpensive, and you can make it your own. You can pack your favorite foods and take them to the park, and can dress the scene up with blankets and pillows. To add another touch, you can pack their favorite dessert!

“Picnics are adorable and make me feel special. They are so thoughtful and are perfect for any date,” says senior Azaria Roberts.  Consider this for your special someone on February 14th!

As the night comes to an end, notice how your partner is feeling. Hopefully, you made their day wonderful, leaving them feel joyful and loved. If you achieved that, that’s how you know you did well.

Valentine’s Day doesn’t have to be about the gifts or the fancy dates, but every once in awhile they are appreciated. Hopefully, this helped you to plan the perfect day for someone you love.
