Your Downingtown West Marching Band is on a roll! In mid-October they had a tough battle against bands from Marple Newtown. They went from 84 points to 87, and came out with a win. They have had several shows so far and have gone up in score regularly!

Our marching band students are known for their dedication and long hours spent at West practicing.  Even during study hall and lunch periods, the marching Whippets are often seen practicing in the band room. Senior Brenden Mascherino, who is also the drums captain, stated, “The amount of young talent we have in the drum line is impressive. We have come really far in the season but still have a lot of room to grow. I just am really impressed with how the season is going.”

The band is just getting started and hopes to match if not beat their second place finish from last season.  Good luck!
