Go West! On October 17, 2019, the girls’ soccer team took a win against Rustin for their Senior Night. This year’s seniors include: Gia Cetroni (‘20), Cecelia Klapac (‘20), Bridget Lear (‘20), Julia Marrone (‘20), Kristen Monper (20’), and Lalitha Shan (‘20).

The parents of these talented seniors were seen with nothing but smiles throughout the ceremony before the game. Though it started off as a rough game, with great defense and with 7 minutes left in the game, the West girls scored their first goal. With the crowd cheering and on their toes, West scored another goal with just 6:42 left in the game. Cheering and clapping, the audience filled the stadium. When we thought it could not get any better, Gia Cetroni (‘20) scored the winning goal with barely 5 minutes left in the game! What a great way to end the Senior Night!

Although the girls had a rough start to the season, they have managed to win multiple games. With 8 wins and 6 losses, the girls have kept their heads up throughout it all and continue to give their best effort every game. Sadly, the season is coming to an end; our graduating seniors will be greatly missed!
