The annual West musical is always a great time, and this year’s production of Little Shop of Horrors will be no different!

Opening the weekend of March 28th, the musical has a misleading title.  Many people think it’s about a scary shop, but, to put it simply, it is about a plant that eats people. However, the real summary of it, taken from the production notes, is as follows: “Meek floral assistant Seymour Krelborn (Charlie Norwood, ‘19) has stumbled upon a new breed of plant he names “Audrey II” (Shayla Lee-Pertz, ‘19). How will he handle the promise of unending fame, versus the plant’s intent for world domination, and BLOOD?”.

The show is full of catchy songs that will have you bopping along in your seat. The cast is incredibly talented and has been working extremely hard to make this show great. As it is my last year being involved in the West musicals, I believe I can speak for the other seniors when I say please come support the show!

Come see all of the talent within the cast, including but not limited to Avery Meier (‘19) as Audrey; Vincent DiEdwardo (‘19) as Mr. Mushnik; and Krista Devane (‘19), Elaine Ficarra (‘19), and Danielle Kucera (‘20) as the Ronettes. We have a huge ensemble this year, making the bigger musical numbers more powerful than ever. There is a special kind of magic in seeing live theatre, so come and experience it with us by seeing Little Shop of Horrors, playing in the West auditorium from March 28- March 30 at 7:30pm and March 31 at 2pm. We all hope to see you at the show!
