When first entering the school cafeteria in the morning, you are greeted with smells of sweet and savory breakfast bagels, hot coffee, and freshly baked cookies. As students flood the cafeteria to buy their breakfast, most gravitate to the sausage, egg, and cheese or the bacon, egg and cheese bagels. They are always the first to go and are usually gone by second period, so you have to get them while you can!

For lunch, the cafeteria staff provides a variety of hot and cold meals for everyone to enjoy. From pasta, pizza, and grilled cheese to chicken nuggets, chicken sandwiches, and cheeseburgers, there is something to satisfy everyone’s taste buds. Sides include french fries, curly fries, tater tots, popcorn chicken, and chips galore.

Sophomore Sierra Kohute says, “There is a large selection and the food is great and always fresh. My favorite is the sugar cookies.” The assortment of cookies include oatmeal raisin, sugar, and chocolate chip. They are always a crowd favorite. If you are not a fan of cookies, there are plenty of other dessert options such as ice creams, Rice Krispie Treats, and PopTarts.

There is also a large variety of beverage choices. Refreshments such as Gatorade, lemonades, iced teas, ICE drinks, and different flavors of Wawa milk are bound to quench your thirst. Payton Reuss (’21) says, “I always go for the Wawa fruit punch. It is a great way to start my morning.”

All in all, the cafeteria here at West provides an abundance of delicious foods and treats for everyone to enjoy!
