Many of the students here at Downingtown West know Ms. Reid, whether she was a sub in one of their classes during previous years or because she is now and officially the newest art teacher here at West.

For about three and a half years Ms. Reid has been working at West and in surrounding schools as a substitute teacher, but she always knew that the art field is where she belonged. This year is her first full year here at West. When asked what she wanted to incorporate into her art classroom she shared that she “would like to expose the students [at West] to a wide variety of artists, and have them put their own personal spin into their artwork.”

Ms. Reid went to Downingtown East and then Kutztown University for art education. This local girl at heart was beyond happy to earn a job here as Downingtown West. Ms. Reid is always looking to make a student’s day and spread joy throughout the school on a daily basis.

A big thanks to Ms. Reid for being the caring and creative teacher she is here at West!
